Winter Cover Saver creates a tight wrap on the top of the cover around the pool's outer frame.
Chemically treat the pool and install your above ground pool cover (including cover cable with
turnbuckle included with cover and/ or cover clips) according to the cover manufacturer's
instructions.
Tie the Winter Cover Saver to the cover cable securely at any point around the pool. Slowly
wrap Winter Cover Saver around the pool, centering the 15 inch width between the pool cover
and the side of the pool. Keep the wrap taut; it is meant to stretch and form an airtight seal.
Some find it easier to work from upright to upright using a "stretch and apply" technique.
On the second wrap around the pool, center the bottom edge of Winter Cover Saver on the
center of the first wrap overlapping the cover. For the third wrap, lower the WInter Cover Saver
so the top edge is on the center of the first wrap, overlapping the pool. Continue wrapping,
alternating center, top, and bottom, creating about a 22 inch band around the pool until you use
the entire roll of Winter Cover Saver. When the entire roll has been used, tie the end securely to
the cable. There is enough WInter Cover Saver for approximately 7 wraps on a 24 foor diameter
above ground pool. If your pool is too large for at least five wraps, use a second roll of Winter
Cover Saver, securely tie the end of the first roll to the beginning of the second roll and wrap
tightly.
